Former Alice Cooper Nita Strauss will undergo surgery for a torn meniscus in late December. The procedure will take place seven months after she first sustained the injury while on the road with Alice Cooper.  Strauss who is the in-house guitarist for L.A. Rams football games took to her Instagram account to share a video update on her injury.

Nita  discussed her torn meniscus in October in an interview with our own WRIF's Meltown's Talking Rock Podcast at wrif.com. She said: "I'm babying myself right now because I've been touring with a torn meniscus since May. So I'm not as injury prone as I usually would be because I'm taking it a little easier. I have surgery scheduled at the end of this tour, between Rams games and everything else I have going on. So right now I've been playing through the most serious injury I've ever had and just trying to take care of that, make sure it doesn't get worse before it gets better."  A torn meniscus is one of the most common knee injuries. Any activity that causes you to forcefully twist or rotate your knee, especially when putting your full weight on it, can lead to a torn meniscus. Currently, Nita Strauss is Demi Lovato's guitar player. Wonder if there is a Christmas song titled," All I Want For Christmas is a Knee Surgery."
