  • Stryper Perform Show Despite Power Outage

A few weeks ago, at West Hollywood’s Whiskey A-Go-Go, the band Stryper had to make do without any power.

The band took to the already setup stage with a snare drum and battery powered practice amps to make sure those in attendance still got a full experience while roadies and fans used the flash lights on their phones to light the stage. Vocalist Michael Sweet posted to Instagram, “well, that was a first! The power went out on Sunset last night 30 minutes before our set and came back on 30 minutes after our set!  It was one for the books…The light always shines in the dark.”

  • Will Ramons’ Voice Was Once Mistaken for Bigfoot

Will Ramos of Lorna Shore was a guest on Nik Nocturnal’s Twitch channel a few weeks ago and shared a story of having his voice mistaken for Bigfoot.

“I went hiking on this walk by myself. I’m like, ‘I’m gonna just try my vocals out.’ There’s nobody out here. … I’m just gonna scream and see what I sound like.” Ramos recounted that after a few minutes a man walking his dog came up to him asking ‘Did you hear that?’ which Ramos said he hadn’t heard anything. A few minutes later the same guy found him and when asked what he thought was making the noise He said, ‘Listen, I don’t wanna say, but I believe in Bigfoot.’”

  • Nergal’s Advice for New Metal Vocalists

Chaoszine asked what advice would you give to young metal vocalists starting out of Behemoth’s Nergal and was met with a bummer of an answer. “Don’t start any bands. And I’m not even kidding here. Don’t do it. The world is overwhelmed with bands, with records with albums. There’s really no space there for anything. There’s only seven days a week. There’s too many tours around. There’s too many shows.” Nergal went on to detail how tours are suffering because people have less money and that young metalheads should finish university, travel, and enjoy life instead of taking up more space in the music industry.
