Reporter Hilariously Asks Buccaneers Coach About Playing in Detroit “Weather”
A reporter in Tampa Bay may need to brush up on their football knowledge after asking the Buccaneers head coach a hilarious question about playing in the current Detroit “weather.”
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowels may have just ended her career. He was left nearly speechless after being asked what the plans were for his team to acclimate and perform in the frigid temperatures. His response was a simple question, “you do know we play indoors, they have a dome?” Oopsie poopsie. Watch the full interaction below.
Not a great look for that reporter, although I do have some sympathy for her. Look, there are 32 teams in the NFL. Some of those teams share their stadium with other teams. Until the recent move to Las Vegas, the Oakland Raiders shared their stadium with the Oakland A’s. Completely different sports! Some of the stadiums are domes, some are completely outdoors and some are indoor/outdoor. Fortunately for us Detroit Lions fans, we have a dome because she’s not wrong. It would SUCK to play outside this week with sub zero temperatures.
What can we expect when the Buccaneers come to town to take on the Detroit Lions?
A rowdy crowd and a big win I hope! According to MLive, fans set a new decibel record at Ford Field in last week’s win over the Rams. The previous record was 127.6 decibels. The new record? A whopping 133.6! If you were wondering, that’s as loud as a 747 jet engine barreling down the runway. Way to go, Lions fans! You guys really showed up, and it was definitely noticed by our team. The entire team could feel your energy, and they’re expecting it to be even crazier this Sunday. The Lions definitely can beat the Buccaneers on Sunday as we already did it with a limited roster earlier this season. Can they make a deep run in the playoffs? I think so!
As for the reporter talking to the Buccaneers about playing in Detroit… Well, it gave me a good laugh. I genuinely hope she doesn’t get too much crap for it, but maybe study up on the stadiums in each city!
