21 Years Ago Aaron Paul Starred in Korn Music Video
Earlier this week, I was perusing through Twitter when I noticed a very familiar face on the Korn account, the one and only Aaron Paul. Yes, the same Aaron Paul who gave us one of the greatest TV characters of all time, Jesse Pinkman. My initial reaction was like, ‘hold up, is that who I think it is?’ and ‘how have I never seen this music video?’ To be honest, I’ve never been huge in the music video scene. (We didn’t get cable or the Internet at my house until I was in the 10th grade so I was HELLA behind on the whole TRL thing.)
Sure enough, it was the man I’ve come to know as Jesse Pinkman, the meth riddled drug dealer from Breaking Bad. Aaron Paul has been at it in the acting scene for much longer than Breaking Bad though, and in fact his first credit on IMDB is from 1998. He had a ton of one-off roles in shows like Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, 3rd rock from the Sun, CSI and more. He played the role of “wasted guy” in National Lampoon’s Van Wilder. Breaking Bad was definitely the break he was looking for, but not before he starred in the music video for Korn’s ‘Thoughtless’ off the album “Untouchables.”
The consensus online is that the song ‘Thoughtless’ is about those who are constantly ridiculed and the collateral damage it can cause. This music video most definitely conveys that message. Check it out below and happy anniversary to the Korn album “Untouchables!”
