Lovable Detroit police officer Axel Foley, AKA, Eddie Murphy is back to work on the fourth sequel of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, and lots of the original cast members are joining him.

As for the plot to this movie, it is being kept Under Wraps. If you’re wondering if there’s any Detroit connection, the filming is going on under our noses. As for me, I’m not much for sequels except for Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, any Jackie Chan movie and maybe Herbie the Love Bug. (Just kidding). I wish someone would make an updated version of The Cannonball Run. No release date set for Beverly Hills Cop 4.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley Adds Original Cast Members

Four original "Beverly Hills Cop" cast members - Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, John Ashton and Bronson Pinchot - are reuniting with franchise star Eddie Murphy for "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley." Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylor Paige also star in the third sequel to the 1984 action comedy classic, which follows Detroit cop Axel Foley (Murphy) to Los Angeles, where he gets into trouble investigating the death of a friend.
