Gas prices in metro Detroit have dropped below $3 per gallon. That’s actually the lowest they’re been in 19 months, according to AAA Michigan.
The outlet reported that gas prices in Michigan are down 17 cents to an average of $3.07 per gallon. Here’s the kicker: That’s 81 cents less than gas prices this time last month and 8 cents less than this time in 2021.
Most expensive gas price averages in Michigan are currently in Traverse City ($3.37), Jackson ($3.23) and Grand Rapids ($3.19). The cheapest gas prices in Michigan are in Marquette ($2.94), Flint ($2.99) and metro Detroit ($2.99).
The average gas price is currently $2.99 per gallon in metro Detroit. The state average for Michigan has dropped $1.11 in the past two months.
