Happy Anniversary to Play-Doh – Screamin’ Scott
It’s almost a scientific study that every kid one time in their life has experienced the pleasure of playing with Play-Doh. It was introduced way back in 1955, and it’s hard to believe that this gooey fun, which has a salty taste to it, is that old. Yes, I was one of those kids that actually tasted it. It’s perfectly okay- it’s not harmful. It’s hard to believe that since 1955, over 2 billion little yellow cans with the red lid have entertained children all over the world. Proud to say one of those kids was me.
Born in Mt Clemens, Screamin’ Scott has been a part of the Detroit airwaves for 30-plus years. With 40 years of experience in radio. When he’s not out on the streets for WCSX, you can find him devoting time to local charities with his, “Screamin Angels”; and for 16 years with Rock 4 Tots charity. And last 10 years with his local band, "Chit!." Screamin Scott likes to write about nostalgic Detroit area memories, classic rock, and local metro Detroit topics.
