Wondering if you do this at home. Every year, I do a condiments purge! That's when I toss out all the packets I can find in the fridge, junk drawer and silverware drawer. One year, I had a record purge with close to 70 packets in the fridge. I have since downsized and kept a small Solo cup of sauce packets. I don't know if there's any CDC guidelines or the American Health Association of America rules on how long sauce packets last, but I think it's a good idea to purge these once in a while for good health reasons.

How do I accumulate so many packets? In my defense, it's not my fault. Overzealous fast food workers ask you what type of sauce you want and in a haste grab a handful of at least 20 and throw it into your bag. Pretty generous if you ask me. And it's not just Taco Bell. I must give acknowledgments to White Castle for their honey mustard sauce, McDonald's for their ketchup and Burger King for the zip sauce, which I'm not sure has been discontinued or not. I hope they put the dates on these things. So, inquiring minds want to know- how many sauce packets do you have in your household as of today?
