Iggy Pop Chronicles Work with David Bowie in New Box Set

Punk pioneer Iggy Pop is revisiting the years he collaborated with David Bowie with a new box set called “The Bowie Years.”

The seven-disc collection includes remastered versions of the two albums the two recorded together, “The Idiot” and “Lust for Life,” according to label UMe. In addition to alternate mixes, outtakes and a souvenir book, the set also features three discs of live recordings: the previously-released “TV Eye” and live tracks from shows at London’s Rainbow Theatre; the Agora in Cleveland; and Chicago’s Mantra Studio, UMe reports. “The Bowie Years” is set to drop on May 29th. “The Idiot” and “Lust for Life” — packaged with a bonus live CD — will also be released the same day.

Jade was born and raised in Detroit Rock City and grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, The Who, Tom Petty, etc. In high school she tried multiple different styles from cheerleader to goth but couldn’t do gymnastics and couldn’t get her eyeliner dark enough. She settled on jeans and a t-shirt, playing sports and making normal situations overly awkward. When she’s not making bad jokes on the radio you can find her shanking golf balls into the woods on the golf course and drinking beers at the bar. She has a strict two shot limit when it comes to tequila. Jade enjoys writing and talking about everything happening in Detroit Rock City, our Detroit sports teams, golf, and her fear of robots.
