Metallica is going on tour, which is awesome, but tickets are not cheap.

Tickets for the band’s M72 World Tour go on sale this Friday. When they do, the band is selling some “enhanced experiences” that will set you back hundreds or thousands of dollars.

You can pay $414 for the ‘Frantic’ Early-Entry package or $7,200 for the ‘Lux Æterna’ Platform Experience. Yikes. Save up those pennies.

Happy Metallica day! The band surprised fans Monday (Nov. 28) with the announcement of a new album, 72 Seasons, out in April, as well as the release of the album’s first single, “Lux Æterna.”

So, what the heck is James Hetfield singing in those lyrics? Find the full lyrics below.

“Is there a special meaning to the [album] title?” Metallica frontman James Hetfield said in a statement. “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are.”

He added, “I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Over his almost three-decade stint at RIFF, he's had the privilege to work with some of the biggest personalities in Detroit radio history.
