Another big shout-out to everyone who swung by the Diamondback Music Hall on Wednesday for bike night. Yes, the weather wasn't optimal, but some hardy souls showed up anyway to ride and gather.

Thank you to Kidd Lightning and his band Detroit Trouble for rockin' out inside. I met Kidd for the first time last week, and he has already booked a gig at the bar! That dude works fast. The band rocked out to a mix of southern and classic rock that fit the night perfectly.

Outside on the deck, I gave away concert tickets and WRIF shirts while some of the wrestlers from Insane Wrestling Revolution were there to promote their event the following night—a big thank you to them for also stopping out.

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Over his almost three-decade stint at RIFF, he's had the privilege to work with some of the biggest personalities in Detroit radio history. He boasts of being just the second-afternoon drive jock in the station's illustrious 53-year history. Along with his love for rock music and attending concerts, he's also an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and hockey player.
