James Hetfield on set of The Thicket
Samuel Goldwyn FilmsLooks like I have another movie to add to my list. The Thicket, starring Peter Dinklage, Juliette Lewis, and a guy named James Hetfield from Metallica, stars in this dark western. Look for the Elliott Lester film in theaters on September 6th. It's a perfect fit, as James is a huge Western movie fan.
In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
Other Metallica News
As for other Metallica news, there's plenty. The boys recently learned how to press vinyl. You can read about that experience here.
Metallica will once again perform for their All Within My Hands charity on December 13th at the YouTube Theater in L.A. After taking a year off; the concert will raise money for their foundation, which supports workforce education, the fight against hunger, disaster relief, and other causes. More than 3 million dollars was raised at the last event in 2022, which featured Greta Van Fleet, Tom Morello, and others.
Even More Metallica News
The guys announced the unveiling of the digital Cliff Burton exhibit in their Metallica Black Box online museum. It's called "Orion: A Tribute to Cliff Burton" and will include pictures, interviews, and more to highlight the career of the bassist who was taken from us way too young.
This look at Cliff's life is available to Metallica's Fifth Fan Club, which is free to join.
