My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has dropped a new solo song called “Here Comes the End.”
The track will be part of the new season of Way’s original superhero series, “The Umbrella Academy,” which starts its second season on Netflix July 31. Listen to the new tune bleow.
“Here Comes the End,” which features Judith Hill, has a glam-rock feel.
“I was originally inspired to write this track when series one of The Umbrella Academy was being shot,” Way said in a statement. “By the time I finished it, 2020 was in full swing, the world had taken a profound turn and the song was finished in a surreal new reality.”
Way’s “The Umbrella Academy” depicts a dysfunctional family of superheroes who must work together to resist the apocalypse.
