Screamin’s Pic of the Week: Joe Perry of Aerosmith
The year of the famous Blackout: 2003
This concert was worth the wait. Rescheduled to Sept 7th, 2003 at Comerica Park! What a line up of bands: Aerosmith, Kiss, Ted Nugent and Saliva.
My prize pic was this one from Joe Perry himself and is a moment I will never forget. I was backstage talking rock n’ roll stories when a horn went off. Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Joe and I turned our heads only to see four golf carts go zooming by with each member of “KISS.” Joe then turned to me and said while laughing, “Man, you just don’t see that every day!” He turned to walk back to his dressing room, but before he did he reached out and placed this guitar pic in my hand.
