What You Should be Playing – Winter’s Video Game Highlights
One of the things I love about doing the Nerdradio podcast each week is the catch-all nature of the show. We’re big on comic books and video games and of course it’s a great time to be a superhero fan at the movie theaters and on TV, but even diving into the worlds of japanese anime, collectible card games and tabletop RPGs gives us a little bit of something for everyone both listening and contributing to the show.
With that in mind allow me to introduce you to Kenny. He’s joined us a handful of times on the show to talk about upcoming games and when I asked him what folks should be looking forward to this holiday season he gave me a list so extensive I have to believe no matter what types of games you’re into there’s something here for you heading into 2020.
What’s up it’s Kenny The Video Game Guru.
Looking for some new games to check out, but don’t know what? Well let me help you with that. Currently a lot of shoot’em up games have been released. Such as, Divison 2, Borderlands 3, Gears Of War 5, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Believe me these titles will help you hold you off for a little bit, with all the great content they have to offer.
As for upcoming titles, I believe it’s going to be tough to compete with Call Of Duty Modern Warfare with it’s release around the corner. Infinity Ward finally starting to listen to all you Call Of Duty fans with having a amazing campaign story and if you played the Beta you know what to look for the amazing online multiplayer as well. This game will also be cross platform for Xbox One player will be able to play with PC players. WOW right?! If your a WWE fan of course be ready to play WWE 2K20. Your favorite WWE Superstars, Legends, Hall of Famers and NXT’s best will join the festivities and celebrate the rebirth of the WWE 2K franchise! WWE 2K20 will feature key gameplay improvements, streamlined controls, and the most fun and creatively expansive entry in the franchise to date.
Now for all you Pokemon Masters out there, two Pokemon games Shield and Sword coming out for the Switch. Catch better and different Pokemon and hold your Pokemon Master title. I didn’t forget you Luigi Mansion fans, that’s right Mario’s brother has returned to clean up all those crazy ghost that have taken over yet another mansion.
Now for all you that are one with the force. I have been keeping my eye on Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. This narratively-driven single player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Star Wars™: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith™. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the iconic lightsaber – all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.
Well that’s all I got as to what will keep you busy until all these epic games come out before the holidays.
Until next time…. May the force be with you.
