This Week’s New Music Breakdown with Jade on WRIF
What’s up, Detroit Rock City? It’s Jade here with 101 WRIF, and we’ve got a killer lineup of new rock to dive into this week. Let’s get into it!
Corey Taylor + Bad Omens Cover a Classic
Corey Taylor has teamed up with Bad Omens for a fresh take on Kansas’ “Dust in the Wind”—a bold move for the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman. The track is part of the Queen of the Ring soundtrack, a biopic about wrestling legend Mildred Burke, set to drop on March 7th.
Ozzy Osbourne Documentary in the Works
The Prince of Darkness is getting the documentary treatment once again. No Escape From Now, a feature-length film from Paramount+, is in production and set to premiere later this year. It’ll cover Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s and other health struggles. Keep an eye out for more details as they roll in.
Speaking of Ozzy, one of the biggest rock reunions of the year is going free on YouTube! The Black Sabbath reunion show will be available to stream for everyone—so stay tuned for more info.
Billy Idol Drops First New Album in Over a Decade
Billy Idol is back! His new album, Dream Into It, marks his first studio release in over 10 years. The lead single, “Still Dancing”, has dropped with a new video—yes, it’s a nod to “Dancing with Myself”. You can check it out online now.
Even better? Billy Idol is hitting Pine Knob this summer with Joan Jett on August 28th. Grab those tickets while you can!
Architects Release New Album This Friday
If you’re into metalcore, this one’s for you. Architects just unleashed a crushing new single, “Braindead”, following up their surprise release, “Everything Ends”. Both tracks are leading up to their brand-new album, The Sky, The Earth, and All Between, dropping Friday, February 28th. Get ready for some heavy riffs!
