I recently took a swing by Red Ryder in Plymouth. I'd heard about this place since it changed from the Honey Hole, into a cool place to grab a bite and drink, all while listening to a variation of music. The 150-year-old building now houses a unique dining and drinking experience.

My wife and I got there just before 4 pm on a Saturday, not knowing the kitchen didn't open until 4 o'clock. No big deal. We grabbed a drink and waited until our waitress told us it was time to order. We split a hamburger and grilled cheese sandwich. Pretty simple, right? Yes, but both were fantastic! Seriously, it was the best burger I've had in years! Thick and juicy, just the way I like it. The grilled cheese featured gruyere, caramelized onion, and apple compote on sourdough. Really good!

We sat and ate surrounded by a couple thousand albums throughout the bar area. Of course, I had to go talk vinyl with the owner, Jeff O'Brien. He told me about some of the rarer albums he has, including some classic rap records, and others. He said he has about 2/3's of his entire collection at the lounge. He tossed on a band called Stone from Europe for me to check out. He said they have theme vinyl nights and special guests come and play their own mixes of music.

Overall, it was a great experience, with outstanding food and interesting conversation with another vinyl enthusiast. I'll be back!
