UK AC/DC Fans Launch Petition To Get Them The Top Spot On Charts
AC/DC's "Black Ice World Tour" ran from 2008-2010. It included 107 shows and sold 2.8 million tickets. It's the ninth highest-grossing tour of all time.
How cool is this? AC/DC fans in the UK are trying to get the band to Number One for Christmas 2023. Yes, they’ve done this before. As the petition reads, “In 2013 we all came together to celebrate 40 years of AC/DC by giving them their highest ever UK Singles Chart placing ‘Highway To Hell’ at No.4. Well, we’re going to choose another track and see if we can get 3 places higher for their 50th anniversary. Are you in? If so join this group and invite everyone.” They’re calling it the AC/DC for Christmas #1.
Apparently, there’s someone named LadBaby who has dominated the top of the charts around this time of year for the past several years. They’ve (or he, or them, or she…I don’t know) scored big with songs like ‘We Built This City’ in 2018, ‘I Love Sausage Rolls’ in 2019, ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin’’ in 2020, ‘Sausage Rolls For Everyone’ in 2021, and ‘Food Aid’ in 2022.
Personally, I’d like to see a song like ‘Night Prowler’, or ‘Evil Walks’ claim the top spot. Man, I just love some of those deeper cuts off the late 70s/early 80s albums. What songs would you nominate?

Pictures From PowerTrip Day Two With AC/DC and Judas Priest
Once again, a big Thank You to my friend Kurt Schwarz for the excellent pictures. He’s so close to the stage that my ears are ringing just looking at them, especially the AC/DC ones.
This was AC/DC’s first concert since September of 2016. Glad to see Brian Johnson back with the band after having hearing issues a few years back.
As for Judas Priest, I’ve been lucky to see them in a festival setting before. Great live band! As the years go by, I have a lot more respect and admiration for them. As a matter of fact, they’re on my turntable right now! I can hardly wait for their new album, Invisible Shield, to drop next March. I grabbed their last album, autographed, and love it!

Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family.
