Skinamarink: Worst. Movie. Ever. – Meltdown
After I saw the trailer for this movie about a month ago, I could not wait to see it. While sitting through it Sunday night, I could not wait for it to end. I was literally trying to figure out what year my brother graduated, instead of watching the movie. Seriously!
The “found footage” movie was a complete waste of time. I skipped watching Sunday night football to sit through an hour and a half of dark, grainy video in a mid 90s house in Canada. I just posted last week about how some said this was supposed to be one of the scariest movies ever. The scariest thing was how much I paid to watch it!
For real. Nothing happened for the first thirty minutes. There was two decent jump scares throughout the entire film…maybe. I get that this wasn’t one of those types of movies. This was supposed to be a film that made you feel uneasy throughout. A movie where you had to use your imagination to fill in the blanks of what you couldn’t see off screen. I get all of that, and yet didn’t experience any of it. What I got was a lot of nothing as I sat there waiting for the words THE END to appear on the screen.
As we walked out, the four mid-20s kids that were sitting behind us were also leaving. A couple of them had perplexed looks on their faces. I asked them what they thought. A few of them didn’t say anything. One did pipe up and say “I liked it”. Take that for what it’s worth. I don’t know.
Incase you couldn’t tell, I DO NOT recommend this movie at all. Avoid it at all costs…save your money.
How much did I dislike it? I’m off today and am posting about it to warn you! You’re welcome.
