KISS To Play Detroit Rock City One Last Time
KISS brings their “End Of The Road” World Tour back to Little Caesars Arena for a show on October 20th. You can win your way in from WRIF here. Otherwise, tickets go on sale April 7th. Here’s some additional ticket info for early sales.
Formed in 1973, KISS knows how much Detroit has meant to the band over the years, and especially in the beginning. Gene Simmons told me in a previous interview “We’re a New York band…that’s where we came from. And the truth is, you can’t name a big band, worldwide, stadium band other than KISS that ever came out of New York. Try it.” He went on “If you’re looking at Detroit, it has such a rich, historical legacy, and the real meat and potatoes Detroit rockers…nothing comes close. Detroit is the combination of Liverpool and all the other musical centers rolled into one because it was a rich musical heritage.” He added “The first city that welcomed us with open arms – and often with open legs, I might add – was Detroit.”
