Virginia Inmates That Escape Jail Using a Toothbrush Get Caught At Nearby IHOP
Earlier this week two inmates of the Newport News City jail escaped from their cells using a toothbrush and a “metal object.” They would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for pancakes!
Arley Nemo and John Garza used a tooth brush and metal object to tunnel out of jail then scaled a wall and escaped the facility.
Their freedom didn’t last long, though. A tip led cops back to them as they dined at an IHOP about 15 minutes away.
One good thing to come from this escape though is the sheriff’s office brought in engineers to “review the building’s weaknesses and research ways to address them.” So that others won’t be able to escape like these two.
