Opening of Little Caesars Arena! (LCA)
Yesterday was a really cool experience. As we say goodbye to our beloved Joe Louis Arena, I was able to take part in welcoming our new– Little Caesars Arena. I’ve been super bitter about the whole situation of a new arena, but in all honesty, once I was there, I did NOT want to leave. Kid Rock welcomed in the new stomping grounds by being the first to put on a show there. From my point of view, I’ve only seen maybe 1/8th of the place and they really outdid themselves! You HAVE to make it to a show there soon. “Massive” does not describe it well enough. It’s like its own little city, surrounded by brand new bars and restaurants that are accessible both from inside the arena as well as street access for people who want to dine and drink downtown and aren’t planning on seeing a show! There is TONS of memorabilia from the Joe that you can find scattered around the place, as well as new artistic input. Below are some pictures I got from the grand opening. ALSO, I would like everyone to know that I was the first person EVER to purchase a Founders beer at Little Caesars Arena!!!!!!!
