Haunted Michigan – Ed Terebus From The World Record Breaking EREBUS Haunted Attraction
Haunted Michigan is primarily about about the paranormal aspect of our state, but I thought I’d veer off the road a little bit and bring in Ed Terebus from EREBUS – a Guinness Book Record holding haunted house in downtown Pontiac, Michigan.
Ed was great to talk to. He’s the perfect guy to talk about this place. He has so much passion for what he does, and it shows. Ed gave me the backstory of how him and his brother started out, right up until the present day. He spoke to how they design and change parts of the house.
He also talks about the Making of the Monster. A chance to walk Erebus during the day to see how it works. That sounds very interesting.
He told me about traveling the country to see other Haunted House to share ideas and thoughts.
Ok, as far as Erebus is concerned, he talked about a boiler room where a man died. He said that room has remained untouched. He talked about paranormal investigations that have taken place there. Everything from flashlights going on and off, to voice recordings of someone speaking his name! He talked about experiencing other paranormal activities in and around the building.
He’s revamped and redone some parts of the attraction. They’ll also have a Oddities and Curiosities Museum. That features funeral parlor stuff, dinosaur bones, vintage Halloween masks and TONS more.

MAKING OF THE MONSTER: A Walkthrough Documentary At Erebus Haunted Attraction Open Now
We’ll kick off the season of haunting with Ed Terebus, owner of Erebus Haunted Attraction, next week on my Haunted Michigan series. Yes, there’ will be talk of the paranormal onsite at the location in Pontiac.
For now though, they have the Making Of The Monster walkthrough documentary going on now through November 4th. You can see what brings this building to life each weekend.
Tours are available every Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm, and 3:30 pm. Tickets must be reserved and purchased in advance. Tickets are $20 per person + $3.99 service fee per ticket.

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Over his almost three-decade stint at RIFF, he's had the privilege to work with some of the biggest personalities in Detroit radio history. He boasts of being just the second-afternoon drive jock in the station's illustrious 53-year history.
Along with his love for rock music and attending concerts, he's also an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and hockey player. He plays year-round and manages to squeeze in a few charity games throughout the year. Meltdown writes about the Detroit Red Wings, rock music, and Detroit concert venues.
