Jared Goff and Dan Campbell Audition to be Third Host on ‘ManningCast’
Football fever is upon us and our Detroit Lions will kick off the 2023 season this Thursday, September 7th when they take on the defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs! This season is guaranteed to look a little different for us Lions fans. We are coming off a very successful second half of last season, the Lions are favored to win the NFC North and the entire country is buzzing about our boys in Honolulu Blue!
The NFL, ESPN and other broadcast outlets have done a great job over the years of coming up with tons of creative, entertaining content for football fans to consume all year round. One of the more recent successes has been the ‘ManningCast’ which is hosted by NFL legends and brothers, Peyton and Eli Manning. The show has already featured a hilarious line up of guests and has had some hilarious, viral moments, like when Eli flipped the double bird on national television. (He clearly didn’t study the FCC rules prior to starting his show.)
If everything goes as planned, this year will be a lot of fun here in Detroit. We are hoping to score some huge wins, see some incredible plays and hopefully be featured on all the highlight reels. Now, the ‘ManningCast’ schedule will not broadcast a game featuring the Lions, but that doesn’t mean our boys aren’t trying to get in on the fun. So what do Jared Goff and Dan Campbell have to do with the show? Well, apparently Peyton and Eli were hosting auditions for a third host this season. In a new, hilarious promo video which you can view below, you see the brothers auditioning a huge lineup of athletes and celebrities to join their show.
None of the people who auditioned seem to make the cut and that includes Jared Goff and Dan Campbell. When asked “how excited are you to be on the most popular show on television?” Jared responds by innocently asking “isn’t this for the ManningCast?” The entire bit features the likes of TJ Hockenson, Sean McVay, Dan Campbell, Will Arnett, Lil’ Wayne, DJ Khalid, Mike Tyson, Reese Witherspoon and many many more. It wraps up with Tom Brady not even being allowed to audition and proclaiming since he didn’t get the gig, he’d have to go back to playing football. Check out the video below as well as the full ‘ManningCast’ schedule! #OnePride #LetsGooooo
