• Social Media Reactions to the Passing of Trevor Strnad

  Exodus’ Gary Holt on Instagram said, “We toured together around 2006 for about six weeks, dude was cool as fuck!”

  The band Suicide Silence tweeted, “Trevor was nothing but a lover and an amazing, talented human.” Both Exodus and Testament dedicated their performances to Strnad last weekend and there is a Change.org petition currently at over 16,000 signatures asking The Grammys to Include Black Dahlia Murder Vocalist Trevor Strnad in their “In Memoriam” segment.

  Machinehead’s Robb Flynn wrote a piece for the website Metal Hammer recounting his friendship with Strnad. “He was more knowledgeable about metal than most people I know, but he was also a huge fan of Motown and R&B, too. I don’t know if we could have asked for a better ambassador for metal than him,” said Flynn.

• Members of TBDM Release Statements on Their Fallen Brother

  The Black Dahlia Murder’s guitarist Brandon Ellis called Trevor, “A brother. A best friend. One of the funniest and most entertaining people to walk the earth. A champion of the entire culture of heavy music.”

  Drummer Alan Cassidy wrote, “you were always my biggest cheerleader. You were my older brother I never had. I love that you always let everyone know you loved them and cared about them.”
