Fruit Bats Reimagining Siamese Dream Next Month
While Smashing Pumpkins fans eagerly await all the new music the band the band has been working on, another Chicago Band, Fruit Bats, are putting their spin on iconic 90’s record Siamese Dream next month. And by they I mean Eric D. Johnson who revealed he’ll be playing all the instruments on the record.
“And no, of course I’m not going to be able to recreate Billy Corgan’s crushing, epic guitar tone. Nor could I dream of touching Jimmy Chamberlin’s floaty (yet ever-shredding) drumming. This version is all about hazy memories for me, and how Corgan’s brilliant pop hooks can travel through time and exist in any possible instrumental configuration.” said Johnson.
The curious can get a taste before the album releases August 21st thanks to the first single, Today.
