2023 wasn’t too bad. I thought I’d compile a list of a few of my favorite events, concerts, and just plain happenings from the year, kind of a flashback. Lots of concerts took place in and around the Motor City. Many of the WRIF shows at Pine Knob happened in the second half of the summer. I love the outdoor shows.
There was a lot to cheer for on the football field….and maybe more coming up. I hope that translates to the ice rink this upcoming year too.
Next year I’m looking forward to many more shows, and many more chances to hang out with the Detroit rock faithful. I also recently did a story about some of the biggest movies that will be dropping in 2024. There could be some blockbusters coming up. Like I said in the story, streaming is cool and all, but I like to go to the theaters to see the movies.
In 2024, I wish you and yours the very best. I look forward to seeing and talking to you at some shows next year. There are already some decent ones lined up. You can read about some of the bigger ones here. Maybe the Tigers will put together a better season. Maybe the Pistons will win a game or three. I would love to see a playoff round of Red Wings hockey. It’s been way too long since that’s happened. That needs to change and it needs to change this year in my opinion.
