A video is going viral online showing a cat react to seeing bobcats in her yard. It turns out dogs aren’t the only pet who can be security!

Have you ever heard of anyone with a security cat? This might be the first of its kind. This cute black cat alerts her family that there is potential danger in their yard and keeps her eyes on the bobcats. Sounds like the cat’s owner was quite surprised to see his cat looking eye to eye with a bobcat outside of their sliding door. Then, as the camera turns, you can see that it’s not only one lone bobcat in their yard. There are at least two of them and one of them is right there next to the door just staring down the cat. seems like it’s a little kitty cub (sorry, I’m not sure what you call baby bobcats) but I’m sure mama bobcat can’t be far. Viral Video Shows Cat Reacting To Seeing Bobcats In Her Yard

He probably just thought the cat saw another bird or something normal and never would have expected to see some bobcats roaming around his yard–especially that close! The video has nearly 6 million views on TikTok, more than 1.6 million likes, and more than 9,000 comments to go along with it. It’s captioned, “I thought she was yelling at birds again I was NOT expecting that!” Yup, just thinking it was something normal and part of the routine and it would be scary to see this when you’re not expecting it!

His TikTok bio mentions “CT” so I’m thinking this happened in Connecticut unless “CT” means something different online that I’m not aware of. He’s got himself a cool cat! Not every cat would have brought this to their owner’s attention and it’s a good thing she did! Imagine if he opened the door to let her out or if he had dogs to let outside when those are out there. Not a run-in you’d want to have for your beloved pets.
