Los Angeles Doctor Charges $6K Per Eye To Permanently Change Eye Color
A Los Angeles doctor is charging $6K per eye to permanently change patient’s eye color. He’s gotten quite the following from it.
Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler is an ophthalmologist with 3.4 million followers on TikTok and has gone viral thanks to his specialization in changing people’s eye color forever. Basically, it’s cosmetic surgery for the eyes he says. Some people are calling them cool and fascinating while others say the eyes are scarier than any horror film. What do you think? Is this a procedure you would consider doing?
Would You Pay A Doctor To Permanently Change Your Eye Color?
Having an interesting eye color is desired by many people. It’s an instant way to stand out and be unique. Plus, people like interesting eyes. It can be a turn on for many people and if you’re not happy with your eye color being an ordinary brown or something common, there is something you can do about it. A trip to Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler might do the trick.
The doctor tells The New York Post, “If people elect to have breast augmentation, face lifts and Botox, then why not change their eye color as well? If that’s what some people dream of having.” The procedure is known as keratopigmentation and it changes eye color by injecting pigment into the cornea. Ouch! That sounds painful. I don’t think I’d be willing to do it. I’m plenty happy with my eye color as is. However, having things your way doesn’t come cheap. What do you think this is Burger King? Each eye reportedly costs $6K and there’s no way you’re only going to do one eye! That would look insane! That means you’re spending at least $12K to get this done. That’s not a cheap procedure by any means. The doctor claims it’s a very safe surgery but has not gotten it done himself. I’d probably only do it if the doctor did it, too. If you’re willing to do it to yourself, I’d feel safer about you doing it to me. Still, I don’t want it. I think they look scary and unnatural.
How does it work? The New York Post says he starts by using an advanced laser to create a tunnel into the cornea then he uses custom-made tools to extend the outer diameter of the channel to match the natural edge. Finally, he injects ink into the channels to alter the eye channel. Ah! I don’t like the sound of any of this. What do you think?
