A Texas driver ran a red light and immediately got pulled over. They didn’t realize the car next to them was an unmarked officer!

Following the law means always following the law. Not just following it when you think nobody is looking. These days, you can’t get away with anything. It might be a traffic light camera that busts you or the car right next to you that you didn’t realize was an unmarked officer. That’s what seems to have happened here.

The video is now doing the rounds online and has more than 9.5K views since being shared on YouTube by ViralHog. The caption on the video reads, “Dodge Ram never realized he was sitting next to an unmarked Fort Worth PD vehicle when he decided not to wait for a green light…not a great way to start his day!” You can see the viral video for yourself on YouTube below. He got what he had coming!

The guy filming the video can be heard cracking up as soon as he sees what happened. It’s an example of instant karma with a heavy emphasis on the instant. He probably thought he was being smooth and was in the clear and it didn’t take very long at all for the driver to realize that they were wrong. That’s why you can never assume! Always act like someone is watching you and if you break the law you’ll get caught. It’s a good way to go! It’ll safe you from a lot of trouble and fines. He treated that red light like a stop sign. He stopped, waited for the other car with the green light to go through, and then casually made their way through the red light. It took one second for that officer to chase after them and flip on their lights. It almost seems like the officer was just waiting for it to happen and knew the driver was about to take off. If that’s true, they weren’t wrong!

I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good at recognizing unmarked cars. There’s usually a clean vibe to them. You never see an officer in an unmarked dirty hatchback with dents. It’s always a nice SUV that’s clean and new, I feel like. If they really want to start tricking people they can start doing that but honestly it looks like things are working just fine for them the way they have it now.
