Did An Iowa Man Shoot His Father Because Of His Stinky Feet?
Did an Iowa Man shoot his father because of his stinky feet? That’s what it sounds like! He must have been incredibly offended.
Thankfully, the father survived the attack and alleged attempt on his life from his son. It all started when the father reportedly made a comment about his son’s stinky feet. Then, it ended with an attempt to take his life!
Iowa Man Shoots Father Over Stinky Feet Argument
According to KWQC, a Burlington, Iowa man is now being accused of shooting his father in the face after an argument over stinky feet. 48-year-old David Carpenter has been identified as the man who allegedly shot his father in the face during the argument.
Carpenter was taken into custody and his father was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries. Hard to imagine how your injuries could be non-life threatening after getting shot in the face but that’s a good thing for sure! At the hospital, the father told police that him and his son were arguing about David’s stinky feet before the shooting happened, per KWQC. According to KWQC, David went and grabbed a gun during the argument at some point and then had it behind his back and pointed it at his dad’s face accidentally pulling the trigger. I feel like it’s really hard to call it an accident after all that happened. It’s hard to be an accident while you’re actively pointing a gun at someone’s face!
Carpenter has since been charged with attempted murder, which is a Class B Felony, and child endangerment, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. According to KWQC, 2 children younger than 14 were in the home at the time. That’s wildly unacceptable! You can’t flaunt a gun like that openly with children in the house! Very irresponsible. Carpenter has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next week.
