Overkill and the ‘Big Four’
There has always been debate about the Big Four ; should there be more bands included?
Why just four? Why those four? Well, in a recent interview with MetalSucks, D.D. Verni of Overkill gave his thoughts on why they are excluded from the Big Four, even though they predate those other bands. He believes that the Big Four was chosen based on their record sales and believes if Overkill sold more records, they would have been included in the group. He also goes on to say that he doesn’t believe those bands had a bigger influence on the genre just sold more.
Check out the full interview; he also talks about their new record and upcoming tour.
