The Black Crowes are in town at DTE Energy Music Theatre Thursday (July 29), and we’re ready to them to help usher in the return of live music. Before the show, the WRIF caught up with Chris Robinson, who founded the rock band alongside his brother Rich Robinson in 1984.

Robinson discussed the much-anticipated tour, DTE’s new cannabis tree house, new music on the way and much more.

The Olympics are a hot topic right now, and when asked what Olympic medal he would score at the big games, Robinsons replied, “Making cabbage soup.” A rock star who can cook? Nice!

Listen to the full interview below. Also, check out photos from The Black Crowes’ first shows of 2021.

We also found an easy and tasty cabbage soup recipe to try, although we can’t promise that it’s better than Robinson’s soup. Find it here.
