  • Bassist Sergio Vega Talks About His Departure from Deftones

Former Deftones bassist Sergio Vega sat down with Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta for his latest podcast episode, where Vega revealed just how things broke down with the band.

“At the beginning, I was up for anything. I was just, like, ‘my friends are in trouble, and I just wanna help,’ but I got a call that was, like, ‘we’re hemorrhaging a lot of money on storage space and you,’ and I was, like, ‘that’s my problem. I’m compared to a storage space. I’m a line item.’” Vega said he has no ill will towards the Deftones but had to do what he felt was right.

  • Danzig’s Next Tour May be His Last

Glenn Danzig just wrapped up a tour last week and, while speaking to Revolver magazine, said he doesn’t see the need to do another. “I don’t think I’m going to tour anymore. But I just don’t see myself getting on a tour bus anymore.” Danzig also said he’s not interested in doing much writing either these days other than soundtracks for his movies. “I’ve got to be excited about working in order to go do it. And right now I’m not that excited.”
