Mac Saturn Hold No Punches In New Music Video For ‘Mint Julep’

When you hear the phrase 'bands from Detroit,' many different things could come to mind. You may think of The White Stripes or MC5. You could also think of Alice Cooper, Bog Seger, or Kid Rock. Soon, however, when you hear 'bands from Detroit' you're going to think of Mac Saturn. As the internet would put it, Mac Saturn "has got next" and could very well be the next big band to come out of the Motor City. The Detroit-based band has been on an absolute roll lately, both in and out of Michigan. This November, they'll be hitting the road, accompanying The Struts on tour. We've been proudly supporting the band for a while now, and recently played their latest single 'Mint Julep' on Motor City Riffs. If you didn't know, Motor City Riffs airs every Sunday on 101 WRIF and showcases some of the best up and coming bands in Metro-Detroit. As I previously mentioned, you can't talk up and coming bands from Detroit, without bringing up Mac Saturn. The song is one of my favorites that we've played on the show. It's funky and right up my alley. 'Mint Julep' Music Video Now, the band has released an official music video for the track, and I think it's amazing. The video is the perfect fit for the song. Something about the song feels vintage and brings vibes of 70s funk, and the music video goes hand in hand with that motif.
