Idiots Stage Fake Bear Attacks
Four People Used A Fake Bear Suit To Stage Attacks
Insurance scams are pretty common. The one we talked about today out of California was not one you see everyday. It involves a fake bear suit and four people trying to do something. What they were after, we aren’t quite sure. But, what we do know, is that their plan failed miserably.
According to KCAL News, four people were arrested for allegedly staging bear attacks to receive insurance payouts. Investigators learned the individuals were using a fake bear suit to climb around the cars and create the damage themselves. Surveillance footage shows the individuals climbing around the car and making “claw marks”, while wearing a fake bear suit.
KCAL News reports, the investigation was called “Operation Bear Claw” which is fitting, and amusing. When you see the damage caused by these people, you can tell almost immediately it wasn’t caused by a real bear. We have seen the aftermath of what a bear does to a car and these people weren’t even close.
So, the insurance company they submitted the claim to was suspicious and launched an investigation. They were able to discover the fake bear suit these people were using. Lisa and Andy are surprised at how the insurance company was able to find the bear suit. You’d imagine the police would be able to search for something like that, but in this case it was the insurance company. They pretend they are the insurance workers performing a raid on the suspects house and it’s a funny scene.
These criminals were not smart. That’s why they were our ‘Idiot Criminals Of The Day’. If you’re going to pretend a bear broke into your car, then you gotta do way more damage than they caused. Bears leave no doubt that a bear was inside your vehicle. Better luck next time.
