Two dogs destroyed a car trying to get a cat, leading to roughly $3,000 in damage! This goes to show the long running beef between dogs and cats isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Clearly, these dogs really wanted to get to this cat. Surely, it just wanted to play and get friends, right? Probably not the case in this situation. Here’s more on the story!
Dogs Destroy Car Trying To Get To Cat
According to WAFB, Christie Barr woke up to find extensive damage to her vehicle that had been in her driveway. She wasn’t sure what had caused the damage. It could have been someone with a BB Gun, neighborhood troublemakers, some sort of natural disaster–anything!
Per WAFB, it wasn’t until the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators found video that showed this was no neighborhood kid or weather-related destruction. Nope, this damage was caused by two dogs. Video shows a neighbor’s cat jump behind the engine of her car before showing two dogs on the cat’s tail trying to claw their way into the vehicle. You can see the dogs tear up the front bumper, fender, and two tires in their effort to reach the cat. However, they were unsuccessful. It appears that in this battle between Cat and Dog, the Cat came out on top.

WAFB points out that neighbors aren’t sure who the dogs belong to or where they are now! That has to be kind of terrifying! That anywhere lurking outside could be those two dogs ready to strike–if they think the cat is nearby. That’s why the neighborhood is now on alert trying to find where these dogs are and where they came from. Reports say Barr tried to contact Animal Control but has not heard back.
Dogs can be cute and man’s best friend. However, cats are their mortal enemy and it seems like that trumps a best friend. I’d be very upset if my best friend–or someone else’s in this case–destroyed my car causing roughly $3,000 in damages.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen.
