Sex Scams
There Are A Lot Of People Falling Victim To Sex Scams
We covered a story about a woman who was arrested for robbing people who were contacted through the social networking site ‘FetLife’. She’d get to know them, and then when it was time to meet up for “relations”, she would rob them at gunpoint. And, it had Dave wondering, if anyone listening had been the victim of a sex scam.
And boy have they. We received many calls and texts from our listeners who have been involved in some sort of sex scam. Some were way more serious than others. One of our first texts came from a woman who said she had been “dong-fished”. A guy was texting her pictures of his Johnson and when they met, it wasn’t anywhere near the size. She felt like she was scammed out of a proper finale.
Then, some more serious ones. One about the “Black Widow” of ‘Fetlife’. A man has seemingly lost everything after getting involved with this woman online. His wife, his job, and his friend who sent us the text, even said he’s now homeless. We wanted more specifics, but never got them.
Another listener said he was the victim of a sex scam. He was scammed out of $1,000 while trying to find a woman for him and his wife. He was contact by fake cartel members, and they were able to scare him into sending them money. You live and you learn.
One guy who texted us said he had his truck and checks stolen by a lady. We questioned why he had his checkbook with him in the first place. Do people pay prostitutes with checks? No, right? We laughed about who you’d make it out to and what to write in the memo section of the check.
Finally, we end with a guy who accompanied his friend on a ‘Grindr’ hookup. Luckily he was there because his friend was almost robbed. We wondered what he would have done if everything was cool. Stuck around for a bit? Chuck creates a song about a man who protects gay sex, known as the ‘Gay Sex Protector”.
