Good Samaritan In Nashville Helps Man With Part Of His Skull Missing
A good Samaritan in Nashville helped a man with a severe head injury. He’s the man we talked about on the show recently!
For weeks a man has been walking around downtown Nashville with a massive head wound that seemingly leaves parts of his brain exposed to the elements. The man has gone viral–not only in Nashville–but around the country. While many of us stare in shock at his appearance, one good Samaritan in Nashville decided to step up and help.
Good Samaritan Helps Man With Parts Of Skull Missing
When we first talked about it on Dave & Chuck The Freak, we weren’t aware of who the man was, all we knew at the time was he was walking around with part of his skull missing and seemed to be doing just fine given the circumstances. At the time, we knew he opted to walk out of the hospital after getting his head looked at, but now we know a little bit more about his situation and the man himself.
According to News Channel 5, that man is 39-year-old Jonathan Johnson. The outlet reports that one good Samaritan in Nashville located Johnson, got a reporter from the outlet, and went to get the man medical attention. News Channel 5 reports that Johnson says he was hit by a car 7 years ago and a plate was put in his head. Recently, he had a complication and the plate was removed. However, that’s when Johnson unexplainedly walked out of the hospital before the plate could be replaced properly.
Now, he’s reportedly had the wound cleaned and has been released from the hospital after being assisted. What’s next? They’re going to have to close the wound and it sounds like this time around he’s willing to get it done. He tells News Channel 5, “If I got to do another surgery to get the metal plate put back in so the skin can grow over it I’d be glad to.” Johnson is now stable after his cleaning and it has been arranged for him to move into a group home where he should be safe and be able to recover. Johnson is reportedly an unsheltered individual with no family in the area.
If you’d like to donate to cover costs of food at the group home you can contact councilman Jordan Huffman at [email protected]. It’s good that people are helping him after seeing what he’s going through!
