TikTok Life Hack: How To Correctly Fill An Ice Tray
There’s a new TikTok life hack that the internet is swearing by. It’s showing the correct way to fill an ice try. Who knew we were doing it wrong?
TikTok seems to be teaching us something new every day. Sometimes, it’s nothing useful that we’ll ever need to know. Other times, it can be quite useful! Here’s a TikTok life hack you might not have known about before: how to correctly make ice cubes. How could there be a right and wrong way to do it?
TikTok Life Hack Shows How To Fill An Ice Tray
This was something I have never thought of before. Typically, while I’m filling the ice tray I’m doing very little thinking. Fill the holes and then put it into the freezer to turn liquid into a solid. It’s as simple as that. Or is it? A new TikTok life hack is showing how we’ve been doing it wrong the entire time. Or is it just me?
So, what this viral video on TikTok shows is that you’re supposed to aim the water at the little flat spots while the tray is held at an angle. Then, you let the water trickle down from there. Sure, filling all the wholes accomplishes the job, but it’s not how we’re supposed to be doing it, I guess. It does make sense! The way I’ve always done it, I’ve been left with uneven cubes and it can make a mess. It sounds like this way will prevent all of that to give you equal ice distribution without making any mess. I could certainly use that.
Is it life changing? No, not really. Although, some people online are actually claiming it to be! Sure, it’s interesting and fascinating. However, life-changing is a bit far, no? People are thanking TikTok for teaching them so much even comparing to how much more they learn on the app than they did during their time in college. Again, let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Go to class! Check out the viral video shared by @lifehackerau on TikTok below.
Did you know about this? I guess the video has been floating around the internet for a while and this TikTok life hack has been out there and available and is just now making the rounds again. I bet you I’ll still do it wrong going forward. It’s just muscle memory at this point.
