You definitely don’t see this everyday. The trending video was shared on X (formerly Twitter). The video combines two awesome sights from nature happening at once. They say lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice, but have you ever seen it hit a volcano that’s already erupting at that time?
According to reports, the breathtaking occurrence happened in Guatemala on April 28th and was caught on camera. Turns out, it’s more common than you would think. Ash creates a lot of static electricity and there’s plenty of that around volcanos. So, lightning striking volcanos is more common than you’d think. However, it isn’t often captured on camera. When it has been the footage rarely ends up being this cool! This one is definitely larger than they normally would be.
