Midnight Metal

Friday 12:00 a.m. Midnight

Metallica is kicking off a week-long residency on Jimmy Kimmel Live! starting tonight (April 10.)

The band shared via Twitter, “We’re celebrating #72Seasons release week by taking over late night! Catch us on @JimmyKimmelLive on ABC Monday, April 10 – Thursday, April 13 for four live performances, one night of chatting on the couch, and whatever other fun Jimmy has in store for us.”

Metallica has always been game to play along with fun show segments. In 2021, they read hilarious 1-star reviews of their landmark 1991 self-titled album (aka: “The Black Album.”)

72 Seasons comes out this Friday (April 14.) It’s available for pre-save here, while physical copies are available for pre-order at Metallica.com. So far, the band has previewed four tracks from the LP: The title track, “If Darkness Had a Son,” “Screaming Suicide” and “Lux Æterna.”

On top of the Kimmel residency, Metallica is celebrating the release of 72 Seasons with a worldwide listening party in select movie theaters. To find a theater near you hosting a listening party and to buy tickets, head over to Metallica.film for complete details.
