Shinedown frontman Brent Smith found out the hard way that sometimes even the smallest of injuries can hurt like a motherf---er.

Smith shared the video below showing off his injured thumb along with the following caption: "I have dealt with pain… Mental, and physical pain. I do not shy away from pain… I learn from pain… But with that being said, I am going to be 100% honest with you, ALL of you. Never have I experienced a more 'BRING ME TO MY KNEES' pain than a legitimately sprained thumb. OUCH...luckily for me My dear friend
Dr. Paul F Nassab M.D. in Kansas City was nice enough to do a virtual assessment for me this morning… Should be fine in a few days. Laugh if you will, but damn I am humbled."

How did Smith injure his thumb in the first place? "From going hard in the paint at the gym," he said.

Naturally, Smith used this humbling moment to remind fans of the film version of Attention Attention, which is out today (September 3) on VOD services and Apple. A trailer for the film can be viewed below.
