The Morrissey-inspired song that was on The Simpsons last month is officially out via streaming services.
On the show, Quilloughby (Benedict Cumberbatch), sang the track, called “Everyone Is Horrid Except Me (And Possibly You).” Quilloughby is the temperamental frontman of British rock group The Snuffs, and he becomes Lisa Simpson’s imaginary friend in the clip.
Flight of the Conchords’ Bret McKenzie co-wrote the track, and the song was performed by Cumberbatch and Lisa’s, voice actor Yeardley Smith.
Check out the tune below.
Morrissey, by the way, wasn’t too happy with the episode, judging by the below Facebook post.
Anne Erickson started her radio career shortly after graduating from Michigan State University and has worked on-air in Detroit, Flint, Toledo, Lansing and beyond. As someone who absolutely loves rock, metal and alt music, she instantly fell in love with radio and hasn’t looked back. When she’s not working, Anne makes her own music with her band, Upon Wings, and she also loves cheering on her favorite Detroit and Michigan sports teams, especially Lions and MSU football. Anne is also an award-winning journalist, and her byline has run in a variety of national publications. You can also hear her weekends on WRIF.
