Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is gearing up to release a greatest hits set, Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021), on June 11.

The album will also feature two new tracks, including debut single, “We’re On Our Way Now,” out now.

“10 years of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds?? Blimey!” Gallagher wrote on Twitter. “Just think of all the things I COULD have done in that time!!”

The record will feature 18 songs, with the two new tracks penned by Gallagher and Paul ‘Strangeboy’ Stacey.

In a chat with Absolute Radio, Gallagher explained that he needed something to keep him occupied during the pandemic.

“I realized it was the 10-year anniversary coming up this year and was like, ‘What about a Best Of?’ and we kicked the idea around for a bit,” he said. “I had a few tunes that I had never finished off for various projects in those 10 years. I think I had four and I went to a studio and recorded them, socially distanced of course, and the two that made it onto the album are the two that came out best.”
