Jared Leto, the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, Academy Award winner and noted Jesus Christ cosplayer, has somehow lost his Oscar statue.

Leto touched on this weird fact in an appearance on last night’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden when Corden asked whether or not this was true and if he has finally found the prestigious acting honor.

“I found out it’s been missing for like three years. I didn’t know that, and I don’t think anyone wanted to tell me,” Leto said with a playful laugh. “I had moved to a house in L.A. and when we moved, it just kinda magically disappeared. It could be somewhere, but everyone searched for it high and low. I hope it’s in good hands wherever it is, but we haven’t seen it in quite some time.”

When asked if he thinks someone actually has the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, which he won in 2013 for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club, Leto responded, “I think it’s a good possibility. It’s not the thing someone accidentally throws in the trash. I hope someone is caring for it. I remember the night that I got it I passed it around to so many people I didn’t see it for half the night…People had fun taking pictures with it. It’s nice to share it, so hopefully, someone’s taking good care of it.”

Of course, this isn’t even the strangest thing about Leto. He infamously on a 12-day meditation retreat off the grid in the middle of the desert when the coronavirus pandemic became global. When he emerged from the retreat, he shared in a post to Instagram, “Wow. 12 days ago I began a silent meditation in the desert. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication, etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility. Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind blowing – to say the least. I’m getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what’s going on. Hope you and yours are ok. Sending positive energy to all. Stay inside. Stay safe.”
