The White Stripes to Release First-Ever Greatest Hits Album
The White Stripes are gearing up to release their first-ever greatest hits compilation.
The set, called The White Stripes Greatest Hits, will arrive on Dec. 4 on Third Man Records in conjunction with Columbia.
While the album’s full track list hasn’t been revealed, The White Stripes have shared it will feature 26 songs.
In honor of the announcement, the Stripes have posted a never-before-released live performance of the one song that is confirmed for the set, “Ball and Biscuit,” which was filmed at Tokyo, Japan’s Shibuya-AX on Oct. 22, 2003. Watch the video below.
In addition to the regular release, an expanded version of The White Stripes Greatest Hits will be for sale via the Third Man Vault subscription program, featuring some extras, including a special disc of “largely overlooked, previously scattered B-sides.”
