When one thinks of the Rolling Stones, ballet probably isn’t the first accompanying thought.  However, for those that love the Stones and ballet, 2019 just got awesome!

Page Six is reporting Mick Jagger is curating music that will be part of a new ballet performance choreographed by American Ballet Theatre ballerina  Melanie Hamrick, his girlfriend and mother of his youngest son, Dev.  Apparently, birthing one of Jagger’s children makes getting the rights to use Rolling Stones music in a performance a little bit easier.  Who knew?!

The currently untitled ballet will reportedly feature classic Stones hits “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Paint It Black” and “She’s a Rainbow” and will premiere in March at the Mariinsky Theatre’s ballet festival in St. Petersburg, Russia before returning to the United States on April 18 at the Youth America Grand Prix at Lincoln Center.
