The Smashing Pumpkins’ new album Shiny And Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun hasn’t even come out yet and already there appears to be another one in the works.
Billy Corgan tells Kerrang!, “We’re in this weird place of, ‘Let’s finish this [tour and album release] and then make some decisions. We’re definitely making plans to record another LP, with the idea it will come out at the end of next year.
This year saw Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin first an album together under the Smashing Pumpkins name for the first time in 18 years, so this is big news for fans about the future of the band.
In the meantime, Shiny And Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun comes out November 16 and is available for pre-order in multiple formats and bundles at SmashingPumpkins.com.
