Alice Cooper: Detroit Native, Amazing Rock Horror Icon, and Actor?
Alice Cooper has always been an actor along with being a legend of rock. Even on stage at every show, Alice takes on the persona of "Alice Cooper". Alice Cooper off stage is much more calm and more collected than the madman we see on stage. But you might be even more shocked to know that Alice Cooper, aka Vince Furnier, has been in more cameos and movies than most veteran actors.
His first appearance is technically the music video Alice Cooper: Reflected, but it's the television and movies that are really interesting. There are enough that I was shocked that some are missing like his appearance on the Muppets in 1978.
Alice Cooper appeared in the TV Series The Snoop Sisters in 1974 as more or less himself. But he has gone on to make many cameos and guest appearances. Here are just a few listed from IMDB and videos on YouTube.
The Snoop Sisters 1974
Predating Murder She Wrote, this show was a comedy/mystery on NBC. Ran one season.
Sextette - 1977
Alice is a singing waiter in Sextette. A comedy musical starring Mae West.
Prince of Darkness - 1987
Alice kills some dude with a sharpened bicycle. Yeah, it's weird, but it is 100% Alice Cooper.
WrestleMania 3 and Jake The Snake Roberts -1987
Alice teamed up with Jake the Snake Roberts to take on Honky Talk Man and Jimmy Heart in Wrestlemania 3 in 1987.
Wayne's World - 1992
One of his most memorable cameos was in Wayne's World as himself. WE'RE NOT WORTHY!!!!
Fairway to Heaven - 1996
This commercial was made in 1994, but it shows Alice Cooper's love for golf. The catch phrase at the end is the best.
That '70's Show - 2001
Alice Cooper was playing D&D before Stranger Things! And with Curtis Armstrong (aka Booger) as the Dungeon Master! What a game night that would be!
The Muppet Show - 1978
By far, my favorite thing that Alice has ever done. There is something just really cool about mixing the Muppets with someone that you wouldn't normally connect to them. Yet they worked beautifully together.
